About the work

Who will the specialist work with?

The specialist will be working in a program office setting with a team that undertakes a variety of tasks relating to departmental finance initiatives. Candidates must be able to work under minimal supervision.

What will the specialist do?

Review DFAT’s business requirements regarding online customer payments, including ‘tap and go’/EFTPOS and online payments.

Evaluate how an online customer payment solution performed in a limited trial (pilot).

Undertake desk research into online customer payment solutions in a global setting.

Develop an options and recommendations paper around online customer payment solutions.

Apply knowledge of Australian Transactional Banking legislation and associated frameworks relevant to non-corporate Commonwealth entities (NCEs).

Apply knowledge of the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (PGPA Act).

Any additional relevant information?

The specialist will be the sole SME working on this task, and must have a existing working knowledge of the PGPA Act 2013 and Transaction Banking Legislation.

As this will be a short and focused engagement, existing experience with implementing global online customer payment solutions is essential.
